Description
C# SQL Developer is required by a niche software house based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an C# SQL developer with a strong ability to learn a new proprietary system which comprises Java to come on board a growing team within a very strong company.This team are looking for someone who is able to pick up their proprietary language and work on ETL development feeds from their clients as they are building a data staging area which is taking data from various source systems and applying business logic and rules to it using their ETL tool. You will be required to come in and hit the ground running with a keen ability to learn this innovative system which utilises CSV, XML and ragged files to VB and Excel VB format.
You will also be responsible for working with the development teams globally and maintaining all code is effective for the business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle. You will also be responsible for the various product streams that come through this area and there is a lot of potential to stay with the software house for a long time.
This is a 6 months rolling contract position with market rates up to £400pd.
Essential Skills:
* Strong structured programming language in either C#, Java
* Solid understanding of SQL
* Experience in data staging would be highly beneficial
* A willingness to learn this brilliant proprietary language
* Investment banking is not essential for this role but would be beneficial
