Marketing Manager - Contract - Global Manufacturer

Rate: £45 per hour

Contract length: 12 Months

My key global manufacturing client, is currently recruiting for an experienced Marketing Manager to join their marketing team on an initial 12 month contract.

Purpose of the Role

  • To implement tactical marketing and customer plans for the product group to ensure the delivery of the UK operating plan.
  • To support European marketing alignment activities and product launches.
  • To drive marketing programmes that gain market share through growth in existing customers, new channels and new product initiatives.
  • To lead the introduction of new products & entry into new business segments, creating new customers & channels.
  • To ensure that all activity is aligned to corporate strategy and meets the company financial and brand objectives.
  • To ensure that Fastening marketing approach is recognised as that of a market leading supplier, and contributes to the ambition of being the preferred supplier to its customer base.
  • To utilise Customer Relationship Management to actively drive the Fastening brands.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 4 years commercial experience in a sales or marketing environment
  • Commercially driven with a proven track record in hands on campaign delivery
  • Relevant degree
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status preferable

Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate marketing plans to the European Marketing Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Sales Team.
  • Taking the lead in delivering the marketing message to key distributors, customers & users. Pulling ideas through the sales team.
  • Tracking of sales in and sales out performance at sku level to understand seasonality and sector performance of products.
  • Monitor the performance of agreed categories and make proposals to the EMM & RSM to drive the business forward.
  • Continually audit and analyse the company's competitive position to highlight competitor activity and new opportunities for the business.
  • Work in conjunction with the EMM & RSM to effectively manage the creation and production of sales literature, including product line leaflets, price lists and training material in line with European alignment.
  • Involvement in public relations and direct marketing activities, both through written media and exhibitions/trade shows identified in the marketing plan.
  • Manage and keep up to date the Marketing Information System so that strategic decisions can be made.
  • Proactively contribute to the European Marketing team and take responsibility for projects agreed with EMM.
