Description
Mobile System ArchitectOur client is on the cutting edge of innovative microelectronic products, ranging from consumer electronics to security and mass storage devices. This position is located in Cambridge with a company that have maintained their status as world leaders in microchip and electronic component manufacture.
Skills required Include:
-An in depth knowledge of mobile market requirements
-An understanding of CPU architecture, to include knowledge of a processor pipelines, caches, memory hierarchy and multi-processor systems.
-Experience with system architecture influence on physical design
-An understanding of translating market knowledge into system architectures
-A strong understanding of system component interdependencies
Desirable Skills Include:
-A track record of working with hardware and software engineering teams, ensuring that the specification can be developed to a stage where it can be handed over to the design team for execution. This will include:
- Specify interface logic.
- Specify methods to avoid performance issues.
- Specify methods to reduce system power.
- Specify methods to optimize for physical placement at the block and interface level.
