C++ Developer - Defence - Dorset
Experience: Defence Systems
The role involves mostly writing multithreaded applications in C++ on Solaris and Linux platforms using networking protocols such as TCP, UDP (unicast/multicast). Some feeds use Java and other technology as may be dictated by exchanges. C++ frameworks are used for developing object-oriented Real Time feeds.
Demonstrated C++ development experience on Linux/UNIX
Exposure to a variety of languages and development environments a plus (eg. Python, Shell Scripting, Java, Windows programming, etc.)
Desire to learn new technologies and concepts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and aggressively push projects
Knowledge of Defence projects is a benefit.
This is a 3 month rolling contract based in Dorset paying £400-£475 per day.
SC Clearance to MOD level is required for this role.
