Description
Our client are looking for an experienced Storage Administrator, to work on site for one of their most prestigious clients, based in Dublin.
Responsibilities
- Host-level tasks as requested by Customer to access new storage.
- Data restoration and recovery as requested by Customer
- A working knowledge of Customer's business continuity or disaster recovery plan as it relates to data storage and provide support in the event of an outage or test
- If applicable, assist Customer to complete any mandatory updates to Customer's existing Build Configuration Documentation
- Performance Management covering:
- FED balance, fan in/out ratio, BED/disk distribution, Parity Group performance balance, HDP Pool layout, external storage port/priority group/LUN balance, AMS LUN/controller balance, external LUN cache mode setting
- troubleshooting exercises in the case a performance issue arises
- Tuning Manager monitoring for each array on a proactive semi-weekly basis
- Storage Operations Management Performance reports on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
- Practical performance capability analysis tools (disk performance, array component throughput and IOPS capabilities, etc.)
- Performance layout best practices
- Tuning Manager reporting capabilities
Skills:
- Must have strong storage administration experience with HDS VSP storage
- Experienced with working in enterprise environments
- Ideally would also have knowledge of USP-V, AMS or HNAS
