Description
Responsibilities:- Be instrumental in designing, creating and executing test strategies and frameworks from scratch (open to Java, Python, Ruby, VB, C#)
- Facilitate a reduction of execution time in manual testing cycles to include functional, regression, and smoke testing
- Work with development and QA management to define automation process and strategy
- Develop UI, Batch, and API automated test practices
- Execute system and integration tests to ensure all software components work together
- Be pro-active to put together automation and implementation plans with minimal supervision
- Document work flows and best practices for QA teams
Requirements:
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Financial Engineering, Information systems
- Proven experience building an automation framework from scratch
- 5-10 years experience with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, C++, C#, VB
- 5-10 years experience with Selenium, QTP, or other QA Automation tools
- Experience working within the financial industry (banking, trading, exchange, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
- Knowledge of test environments, tools and infrastructure in an Agile environment
- SQL experience
- Must have a pro-active attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
