MPI are currently looking for Ground Support Equipment (Mechanical) Technicians to work on site in Hook, Hampshire .
Applicants Must be qualified to BTEC Level III or City & Guilds Level. If Ex Forces SAC Tech qualified or above or have served a Full Apprenticeship.
This contract is an immediate start until end of year (2014) with view to possible extension.
Approx 40 hours per week Mon-Fri.
Role & Responsibilities include the following:-
Service and repair a wide range of mechanical transport vehicles and ground support equipment including (but not limited to)
• HGV
• Basic Hydraulic Systems
• Air Braking Systems
• Hydraulic
• Pneumatic
• Refrigeration
• Diesel & Petrol Engines (Generators etc)
• Mechanical Lifting equipment (hoists and tackle)
If applicants have previous vehicle experience, this would be beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience in a similar role as a Mechanical Fitter; servicing, fault diagnosis and rectification on hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, diesel and petrol engines would be advantageous.
£14.00 per hour LTD Days/£15.75 per hour Sun/Bank Holidays and Nights
£11.34 per hour PAYE Days/£12.72 per hour Sun/Bank Holidays and Nights
