One of our global clients is looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer (m/f) with respective hardware knowledge for the Embedded Microcontroller Programming of their 2G/3G/4G Radio Transceiver mixed-signal SoCs .

You will work on the design and implementation as well as verification of their real-time control firmware. You will work closely with their Hardware Developers, System Engineers, and System Integration Engineers. You will be also responsible for predevelopment performance analysis, assure high verification coverage by means of test cases and assertions.

You are continuously interested in new and innovative projects as well as feeling the need for working in a challenging environment. They expect awareness for quality and a readiness to work in larger distributed and international teams of engineers from various skills. During the course of your engagement you will become acquainted with Mobile Communications and Radio Access Technologies from GSM, UMTS and HSPA to new standards like LTE.

Qualifications:

You should hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent. Additional qualifications include:
- Low-level programming expertise, C and Assembler
- Embedded systems proficiency, 16-/32-bit microcontrollers (ISR, real time, limited resources)
- HW/SW co-verification, debugging using Pre-Silicon RTL simulation environments and System C
- Knowledge in digital/analog hardware design and computer architecture appreciated
- Knowledge in signal processing, mobile communications (GSM, UMTS, LTE ) appreciated
- Experience with Unix/Linux as working environment
- Quality awareness, Consummate team player, open-minded personality, Self-dependent worker

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
