My client, a leading Medical Device company in the Connecticut area has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer. This opportunity is a 12+ month contract with an hourly rate range of $65-80.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will successfully organize and lead cross-functional project teams. These cross-functional project teams will include personnel from various groups within the organization and outside vendors. Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing core team members to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams on key strategic projects
  • Develop and execute strategic project plans including schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Define project resource requirements and negotiate team assignments with functional managers
  • Plan, coordinate and track project activities and manage project budget.
  • Support outside contract/supply agreement contract development and vendor management
  • Challenge functional groups to meet project goals and commitments
  • Provide routine project status communications to project team and management


Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in science or technical field required
  • Advanced Engineering degree or MBA desired
  • Medical Device Project Environment experience is a plus
  • PMI certification or tracking to certification preferred
  • Successful demonstrated experience in program/project management
  • Track record of managing projects to schedule
  • Experience in successfully coordinating with functional departments
