Description

A Support analyst contract role has arisen within a leading bank in the Poole area. This role is looking to last 6 month and is looking to hire as soon as possible. The role entails working in a small user support team based inPoole to provide effective 1st and 2nd line administrative and incident support for the OPUS system to a global user base across the bank. The candidate will be required to have strong administrative and customer service skills, preferably with business analysis experience.

Mains responsibilities of role:

* Carry out the execution and resolution of all user queries, user set ups and system changes and maintenance, to meet agreed service levels
* Develop strong interaction with the business, Operational Risk and IT teams to provide continued system support and partnership
* Liaise with key business users to understand their requests and action appropriately in a timely manner
* Investigate complex incidents, referring incidents to a technical team and working with that team as appropriate to ensure that such queries are fully answered and that root causes are established to maintain an effective incident management process.
* Carry out and ensure that all business support processes, including hierarchy maintenance, business entity approval limits change & op risk data uploads are completed to timescales agreed with the business
* Carry out system maintenance such as a monthly currency rate upload on OPUS, ensuring the correct source and perform sensibility checks
* Monitor OPUS Workflow and other overnight processes taking appropriate action as necessary
* Communicate with users, Operational Risk teams and IT in relation to the OPUS system issues/changes/developments
* Maintain system training and support documentation
* Ensure that all work is carried out both accurately and completely
* Identify trends in the queries received by the team, and use these to drive new initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
