Manufacturing Engineer/Turner
Contract Manufacturing Engineer: Programming and operating turning machines
Length of contract: 6months
Rates: Negotiable dependent on experience
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Due to the successful growth and the set up of a new facility a manufacturing Engineer with Turning skills is required to join a company that manufactures Fasteners mostly for the oil and gas industry.
New turning centres will be introduced and need programming,setting up and running to manufacture fasteners from high nickel content alloys.
Role tasks:
You could be involved in any or all of the following:
*Setting up new machinery including offline programming and process sheets
*Offline and/or online programming
*Turning, milling and possible manual milling
*3 or 4 axis Programming, setting and operating
*Machining exotic metals including nickel alloys
*Programming Doosan, Puma and Mori Seiki Lathes
Your essential skills:
*A competent turner with a variety of machining centres
*Some online Programming
*experience with close tolerance exotic metals
Some of the following:
*Multi axis lathes
*Doosan, Puma, Mori Seiki, Single spindle/turret lathes or VMC sliding heads
*Some offline programming
*Setting and operating in a precision environment
