Description
The Materials Engineering team works extensively on long-term implantables within the Neuromodulation Unit of the company. The team seeks to answer the most challenging materials selection questions in regards to sustainability and functionality of medical devices such as catheters, leads, and guidewires. The Neuromodulation Unit is currently the fastest growing business unit in the company, and it is an exciting time for them across the board.This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact and learn new skills and processes in a quality environment within a growing industry; additionally, the position will allow the candidate to gain market-leading skills and can potentially lead to management roles in the future.
The best candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Biomedical Engineering
* 3+ years experience with medical device and/or silicone, titanium, polymers and metals
