Description
A mid-sized biotech company is seeking a highly accomplished CFO to manage finances effectively. The company requires a candidate who will provide shared leadership and vision to the organization and those involved. This person will be responsible for:
- Controlling the cash flow and overseeing the budget and expenses
- Understanding the company's liabilities in terms of legal contracts, statutory & tax obligations, etc
- Understanding the business model in order to generate customer value and therefore higher company performance
- Understanding how to translate metrics into measures for company performance and analyzing the data
- Collaborating with colleagues of different disciplines as well as managing those who are relevant
- Collaborating with shareholders and other financiers
This ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- BA/ BS in business, accounting or finance, MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience managing and overseeing all processes involved in financial management
- 10+ years of experience in financial areas such as accounting, financial planning and analytics, and financial information systems
- Previous experience in the biotech industry
- Previous experience bringing company through to IPO is HUGE PLUS
This job is located in South San Francisco, CA. There is no option to work remotely.
