Qualification
The job holder will document and analyze business requirements, and make recommendations in quantifiable terms on where changes could produce business benefits such as reduction in unit cost of operation, enhanced productivity and improved decisions
To design solutions for PSS related business challenges and opportunities
To engage architecture, development and other IT teams to ensure solutions are viable
To estimate requirements to determine size and complexity
Minimum working SDLC experience in at least 3 end to end projects.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business analyst capacity in this area, with in-depth experience of 8 years in the airline industry. A proven track record in detailed business system analysis and product development
Strong business domain knowledge of the below PSS area with broad knowledge and awareness of all cross functional domains in PSS. Knowledge of vendor PSS systems.
Availability & Inventory:
Covers core PSS domain of OD Availability and Inventory, with major business areas include Revenue Management, Strategic Pricing, Reservations & Ticketing and downstream interfacing systems include GDS Distribution, Global Sales, Skywards and EKAS.
The strategic drive is to improve revenue and yield through OD availability, new revenue and Inventory controls and enable direct distribution channels through 100% polling and last seat availability.
Future initiatives include strategic Inventory controls such as counters based OD controls, market intelligence based availability and sell decisions, etc.
It also covers core PSS domain of Reservations and Distribution, where major business areas include Reservations & Ticketing, Retail & CC, Network Control (NCC), GDS Distribution, Global Sales, Interline & Codeshare.
