Operations Analyst - Banking

EMEA Operations Analyst/MI Analyst supporting the Global Event Marketing and Dining Conferencing and Fitness Centres groups of a leading Investment Bank. Reports to the Global Head of Operations based in New York.

Ideal for a graduate with strong excel and reporting skills interested in a Middle Office role.

This is a 3 month contract initially but has a very good chance of being made permanent for a strong performer.

Job Description:

  • Primary point of contact and support for Global Event Marketing EMEA Operations Team supporting the Global Event Marketing and Dining Conferencing and Fitness Centres Departments.
  • Focus on Excel based MI reporting.
  • Provide cover and operational support to Regional Head of Events Marketing and Global Head of conferencing.
  • Oversees Audit and Compliance requirements in region.
  • Coordination of various marketing and support functions across the bank.
  • Expense Line Administrator for Meeting and Event spend in EMEA.
  • Creates regular reports and metrics for management.
  • Project management of technology and process improvements in region.
  • Partner with global operations on implementation of P-Card in the region.
  • Responsible for planning and execution of global and regional department programmes and projects.
  • Oversees EMEA's Purchase Card program including its implementation and communication to vendors and internal partners.
  • Assures compliance with Audit requirements and document management.
  • Ensures transparency of Meeting and Event spend within region
  • Helps draft department and systems procedures and dissemination to the team
  • Handling escalated customer queries
  • Reporting - Uses the event management system to generate a wide range of reports including event attendee reports, vendor spend reports, event budget reports, invoice summary reports, etc.
  • Oversees the reconciliation of Managed and Non-Managed events
  • Partners with event management team to reconcile business expenses as part of their event budget reconciliation process
  • Ensures data integrity of the event management database
  • Provide support on EMEA-based conferences and seminars for internal and external clients including CEATS (Client Entertainment and Ticket Services) and Roadshows as required.

Skills:

  • Experienced in a similar sales/marketing MI support role in a bank.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organisation skills, able to manage time effectively, working to deadlines within a pressurized environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Team player, willing to work with colleagues towards a common goal
  • Exceptional administration skills.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, commitment and positive attitude.
  • Shows initiative and proactive approach and able to make decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
