Function Description:
IT Infrastructure Architect/Solution Designer with strong technical Infrastructure competency
Role description:
- This role is intended to support the project JIP Phase 2 with technical expertise. The requirement is for a senior infrastructure architect role, including cooperation between Operation Engineers and creation of blueprints.
Target Projects:
- Building `high level design' of security zone 2 for the group of Energy Management Systems applications for AOT in Netherlands Data Centers
- JIP2 EMS group migration from external provider to internal systems in the Netherlands
- JIP Middleware and Databases: create integrated infrastructure design in Netherlands, Sweden and Germany based on available network, Middleware, and hardware designs
- Alignment with Vattenfall IT Security Models
Main tasks in scope:
- Developing the target architecture for all infrastructure areas needed.
- Incorporate stakeholder input.
- Visualize the target architecture as a handover to the Projects which are listed above.
- Deliver infrastructure design and blueprint in accordance with project demands.
- Responsible for corresponding low level design work together with Operation Solution experts or engineers.
- Calculate the financial impact of new designs.

- High level design of security zone 2 for EMS project
- Infrastructure design for EMS project
- Integrated infrastructure design for Middleware and Databases project
Functie eisen
Mandatory skills/experience:
- Demonstrated senior/expert IT infrastructure architecture knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated senior/expert solution design knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of network design with different security zone models (knowledge of common network services, Firewalls, NAT, NTP, DNS, Domain Controllers, IPS etc)
- Senior/expert knowledge in Data Center, Network, Application, High Availability and IT Security domains
- Expert level on Network and Security, complex environments with Firewalls
- Demonstrated knowledge on complex design of 3-tier applications (Front End, Middleware and databases) on different software and hardware platforms.

The professional must sign NDA before starting the role as the assigned responsibilities require sensitive IT knowledge in operational processes of Vattenfall.
The professional will be asked to present examples/proof of required skills in a face to face meeting with the hiring manager, recruitment manager, project manager and one operational engineer.
