A global pharmaceutical company are seeking a Senior Inhalations Scientist to join their brand new plant in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a greenfield site in a state of the art facility on a very exciting new project. This highly visible role offers significant exposure to senior management and site activities.

In this role you will be responsible for the line management of Department managers, Training Managers, and an Operations Support Manager. This will cover one or more areas including Packaging and Pre-Production, Continuous Improvement and Logistics and Supply.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management in either Pharmaceutical respiratory products or Clinical inhalation development. You will also have demonstrable experience of working within a GMP environment.

Responsibilities:

The planning, prioritisation and organization of the technical aspects and packaging of clinical trial supplies in a timely and cost efficient manner.

Representing the company at client facing meetings and audits.

Maintaining capacity in line with business need Including the recruitment and management of staff.

To agree and deliver packaging plan providing appropriate timely information as required.

Ensuring all activities of the packaging team are performed in accordance with cGMP, relevant SOPs.

Ensuring work order documents are reviewed for completeness, accuracy and conformance to GMP procedures and SOPs.

Ensuring the performance of the packaging department meets the requirements of regulatory authorities, SOP's, and external and internal customers with respect to quality, service, security, safety and cost.

Overseeing the training of line staff, and maintaining records of training.

Liaising with Project managers, Business Development and clients with regard to all aspects of packaging clinical trial supplies globally

Providing information that may be required for proposal development and approval of subsequent proposals

Participating in management activities within the operational groups and promotion of cross training between departments

Ensuring that the appropriate validations are enacted on time and documented

Required Experience and Education:

Experience of working within a GMP production environment

Prior Operations Management experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry (Inhalation/respiratory)

Bachelors, Pharmaceutical Sciences, required
