Description
We are currently seeking a Financial Services Manager to take on the task of creating and managing a shared financial services structure, across an organisation that is positioning itself for significant growth. Of key concern will be the consolidation of four existing and separate finance divisions into one large shared service, and the project management of the implementation of a new common finance and payroll ERP that will service the entire organisation.
You role will also include the following key responsibilities:
* Project manage and lead a shared service function that covers Financial Accounting/Taxation, AP, AR, Fixed Asset registration and Payroll;
* Head up the management of the implementation of a new Finance and Payroll ERP system;
* Manage the operation of the finance/accounting/payroll team to deliver services to all business divisions;
* Manage the full reporting cycle across all stakeholders;
* Discover and improve transaction processing to create greater efficiency in this process; and
* Managing a team of up to 20 staff.
This role incorporates both project and line management responsibilities, and so we will be looking for candidates who can demonstrate previous experience with this combination.
Key skills and experience needed to successfully operate in this role include:
* Strong Project Management skills (Prince 2 cert desirable);
* Experience managing ERP implementations in geographically dispersed organisations (full life cycle);
* Significant experience managing a finance department/division of up to 20 staff (directly/indirectly);
* Experienced CPA/CA qualified career in finance; and
* Strong people management, stakeholder management, and communication skills are a must.
