Cost Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cost Engineer to join a well-established Nuclear Power organisation. As a member of one of the Programme Support Teams, the role will involve managing the provision of cost engineering and cost estimating services to support the delivery of the programme, and this will be undertaken directly or through the management of an external cost engineering service contract.
The position is being offered on a contract basis with a competitive daily rate and will be located in the company's Gloucestershire based office, close to the M5.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage engineering/estimating support for the delivery of the company's two main development programmes.
- Develop cost estimating and cost engineering policy, processes and procedures and 'best practice guidelines' and roll-out to relevant staff.
- Manage the external cost engineering services contracts.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a Cost Engineer position or similar role. Ideally with experience in Energy, Power Generation, Construction or similar industries.
- Experience of carrying out cost engineering and cost estimating requirements for the delivery of large and complex engineering projects.
- The ability to interface successfully with internal and external stakeholders and to liaise with staff at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
