COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITER - 11 MONTH CONTRACT - GLASGOW - £17-22K PRO-RATA
A corporate player within the Financial Services market is looking to recruit an experienced Insurance Underwriter on a full time 11 month contract. They offer an honest and supportive working environment with an attractive package, including £17,500 to £22,000 basic salary and the possibility of applying for internal permanent positions. The successful candidate will have the pleasure of working within a large underwriting department which is an exciting and fast-paced office in the heart of Glasgow, which offers its employees a professional workplace with traditional values.
The role will see you working within the commercial underwriting team, where you will be required
- Providing first class customer service and technical advice.
- Manage a case load of submissions, renewals and new business cases.
- Deal with any queries; providing a high class service and efficient resolution to underwriting and relating issues.
- Process new policies and amend any existing policies.
- Analysing, underwriting and processing individual risk.
The position does require previous underwriting experience as you will be covering general insurance products, so a commercial underwriting background would be desirable. However general underwriting experience in any field will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have previous underwriting experience working within either general insurance, motor or commercial sectors, as well as demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
Preferably, the candidate will have at least 5 GCSEs at Level 3 (Grade C) or above, including Maths and English, and the certificates to act as proof. If you are confident that you meet the specifications of this role please do not hesitate to get in touch.
