My client is a global banking organisation and for their location in Edinburgh I am currently looking for a Senior Fund Administrator with FINS data experience for an initial 6 month contract. You will be required to assist the Manager in the delivery of Investment Administration services to assigned clients, in particular standing data maintenance across various systems, all within agreed quality, timing and output targets. The Jobholder will, in conjunction with the section manager, train and develop the team in order to provide a quality support function.

Responsibilities:

Reference Data Maintenance

  • Accurately maintain all reference data within CADIS, Tradeflow, Alert, IMS, FXAll and Calypso as a result of validation checks or via change requests from other areas (eg Settlements)

  • In conjunction with the other Senior and Manager, control, allocate, review and authorise the team's work ensuring that all items are processed in a timely and accurate manner, within the requirements of the regulations

  • Assist and participate, when requested, in project and system change activity within the team, attending relevant meetings as requested, following up on action points, updating task lists and keeping the manager and team up to date with progress. When requested, review current systems, investigate alternatives, recommend any changes and assist team with smooth implementation of any project or system change activity.

Query Resolution

  • Act as front line point of contact for all FINS Data related enquiries, establishing an excellent relationship with both internal and external clients. Monitor and resolve all queries and provide technical advice and support to colleagues and other parties as required. Ensure Client queries are investigated and resolved in a timely and comprehensive manner.

Process Improvements

  • Ensure that business processes are concurrent with market conventions/practices for UK and International settlement.

  • Participate in callbacks and SSI Data Authentication

Organisation Communication

  • Prioritise work effectively

  • Maintain effective inter-departmental and external communication

  • Ensure oral and written communications are clear, concise and relevant

Risk

  • To continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings and the impact of new technology.

  • In conjunction with Compliance department, to implement the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant compliance department. The term 'compliance' embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.

  • To adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls.

Measured by:

  • Ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.

  • Addressing any areaFs of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.

  • Adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity.

  • Adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
