Job Description:The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer uses his/her engineering expertise to provide overall support for Production Equipment manufacturing. Prepares process P&IDs, sizing and design of application equipment, and ensures the meeting of design requirements. Reviews and analyzes materials to ensure compliance with customer, product, safety, quality, and industry standards and requirements. Acts as a mentor to the engineering team and manages their performance standards.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures that project scope of work and design parameters are clearly defined
- Understands and creates process P&IDs for packaged equipment according to customer needs
- Prepares rotating equipment technical specification, conducts vendor bid analyses and selects equipment
- Performs structural analyses of equipment skids using software design as required
- Establishes engineering execution schedules and sets up regular status review meetings with engineering/design team to ensure all tasks assigned on projects are completed in a timely manner
- Works closely with designers/drafters to ensure that vessel, structural, and assembly drawings and BOM meets project requirements
Below is a list of key experience/knowledge the successful candidate must have:
- Capability to read and create P&IDs for Oil & Gas process equipment
- Experience in ASME Section VIII pressure vessel code calculation and design
- Skills in heat transfer, fluid hydraulics, structural, material, and other engineering design understanding and calculation skills
- Understanding of control valves and instrumentation sizing, functional limitations, control basics
- Working knowledge of Oil & Gas ASME, ANSI, and API standards
- Working experience with engineering design software like Compress, Hysis, and Ansys
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Eight to ten years of engineering and design experience with gas and liquid production equipment and facilities including: Oil & Gas Separators, Oil & Gas Dehydration, and Glycol Regeneration
