Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize use of SmartChip TE product line in NGS workflows.
  • Innovate novel primer design methods that suit companies target enrichment portfolio
  • Assist commercial implementation of products at customer sites by interpreting and implementing solutions to product performance issues as seen in the field.
  • Design, develop and optimize data analysis streams for multiplatform NGS analysis using industry best practices.
  • Interface with researchers and engineers to implement changes to product configuration to optimize product performance.
  • Design and maintain databases to store and retrieve product and customer NGS data and ancillary information such as bed files and associate primer designs
  • Prepare and present materials at conferences and customer sites to showcase SmartChip TE performance.


Job Requirements - Skills, Experience
* 5+ years of relevant experience,
  • Hands on experience with and deep understanding of various enrichment workflows, sequencing technologies and analysis workflows for NGS platforms. Knowledge of the application of these techniques within a CLIA /regulated environment is a plus.
  • Ability to apply industry standard techniques/tools to analysis of NGS data and employ techniques to optimize product performance and inform product development.
  • Ability to interact with public/private databases to obtain required information to interpret NGS data
  • Experience with PCR primer design is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in UNIX (Linux) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl or Groovy) is a plus.
  • Experience with regulatory standards for CLIA and/or FDA IVD tests is a plus.
  • Superior communication skills in a highly diverse cross-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and to deliver results on time per project deadlines.


Education
  • Masters / Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Biology, Chemistry or similar.
