Description

* Provide dedicated GIS support to the team, including linking map based information generated in interpretation platforms, transferring scanned data and using GIS for data manipulation. The role will also require liaising with the GIS department on work-flows and data management.
* Update, manage and develop New Venture Opportunity web-based archive and GIS map viewing tools.
* Assist with play fairway and risk mapping.
* Responsibility for all other data used by the exploration teams on the shared drive systems.
* Search and collate data from 3rd party and corporate databases to provide geoscientists with information as required.
* Support geoscientists in the generation of spliced logs, well correlations and log plots as well as time structure maps.
* Management of Capture Team GIS systems and databases.
* Assisting in data room and licensing round evaluations by providing geotechnical support, collating information and archiving on electronic shared drive systems.
* Preparing presentation materials as required.
* Loading well data to interpretation platform e.g. well header information, log curve data (.las/.lis files). Loading other well information (core, casing and DST's etc)
* Constructing base maps for wells and seismic navigation. Keep cultural information current (concession status and drilling activity etc).
* Keeping PC databases clean and up to date.
* Liaising with data management and helping QC loaded data with Geoscience staff.
* Maintaining files on the shared drives (all forms of PC files e.g. PowerPoint, word and excel).
* Searching data systems both 3rd party and departmental.

Experience:
* Industry in data management.
* Experience working with Petra and Petrel.
* Familiar with ArcGIS.
* Proficient in power point, word, excel, and Microsoft Windows.

Education:
* Associates degree preferred in combination with directly related experience
* Bachelor's degree in geoscience or petroleum engineering

Must be Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
