Senior QA EngineerA major software development company based in Cork is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of excellent developers and testers working with latest cutting edge technologies and some of the coolest projects.Technical & Soft Skills:
- Software test experience in Web and Java based technologies.
- Working knowledge of and demonstrable trouble-shooting skills on Linux/Unix environments.
- Working knowledge and experience of Relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with web app automation tools such as Selenium, SoapUI and Jmeter.
- Knowledge of Python and or Groovy scripting is desired.
- Experience in Usability Testing.
- Experience of Issue tracking systems and Test Case management tools.
- Ability to quickly develop technical understanding of complex applications and their requirements.
- Experience creating and executing test plans.
- Work collaboratively as part of a cross functional scrum team.
- Identifying and estimating test tasks required for completion of user stories.
- Review of requirements in respect to testability and coverage.
- Planning and execution of test plans.
- Creation and review of test cases achieving a high standard of tests.
- Manual and automated testing of products.
- Defect/Bug Logging with clear steps to reproduce and descriptive impact analysis.
- Liaising with QA /Project/Programme Managers to ensure consistency and compliance in respect to quality assurance processes.
