One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Storage Engineer with TSM and SAN.
Please find some details below:
The Storage System Engineer (SE) is responsible for day to day management of the storage environment.
He/She processes assigned tickets or calls, perform diagnostics on problems and solves them.
Next to this, he/she also writes procedures to solve recurring problems and searches for ways to improve efficiency.
Being in direct contact with other SEs regularly, She/he should be communicative and fluent in English.
Work location: Brussels.
Contract extensions are common.
1. Technical skills
In depth knowledge of Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), preferable on Mainframe: experience in maintaining and problem solving on TSM Servers
IBM's Enterprise Storage Subsystems
o Experience with DS8000, DS6000, DS and SAN Volume Controller (SVC)
o Good knowledge in LUN assignments, LUN mapping and masking SAN (Brocade 48000, DCX)
o Experience with SAN fabrics, preferably with Brocade products
o Experience with SAN zoning and port configurations
Knowledge about AIX (network, LVM skills)
2. Other skills
- Good analytic skills and self-knowledge.
- Client oriented Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess risks and criticality of issues to appropriately prioritize activities
- Good communication skills, being a team player
- Fluent in English, both writing and speaking. Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
Participation oncall 24/7 required
