Description
Software Test Engineer - C++, MIL-STD-498/DO-178B - SC Clearance
The ideal candidate will be part of an innovative team of developers to deliver acoustic processing software solutions for multi-core targets, on time and to budget. The candidate will be expected to take a leading role in software integration, testing and validation activities on a variety of defence related projects.
The ideal candidate will be involved in the following tasks: Production of test plans and test descriptions
Execution of tests
Analysis and reporting of defects
Production of test reports
Understanding of SW development, test, integration and acceptance life cycle
Essentials:
Linux skills
Ensure that the company software processes and procedures are adhered to within the development team
The candidate will also be expected to communicate well within a multi-disciplinary team, enjoy problem solving, and be analytical by nature
Experience of formal reviews with customers
Desirables:
Defence background with an understanding of MIL-STD-498/DO-178B
SONAR related experience
Experience with DOORS
Experience with C++
Candidates must be cleared to SC level
This is a 3 month rolling contract paying market rates based in Dorset.
