Key responsibilities of the Compliance Engineer will be:

*To provide Regulations and Compliance support.
*To help develop the current Regulations in order to keep up with changing legislation.
*To report product safety standards and regulations to internal staff.
*To attend virtual and in-iron reviews and audits of machinery.

Key competencies of the Compliance Engineer include:

*A mechanical background in any discipline be it Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical etc.
*Good Microsoft Word and excel experience.
*High ethical standards
*High attention to personal safety.
*High attention to detail.
*Innovative and proactive.
*Previous experience with regulations and standards such as PUWER and the Machinery Directives is advantageous.

The successful Compliance Engineer will be working in a fast dynamic environment which involves some UK travel and travel to the USA, allowing the candidate to have an impact on company compliance on a truly global scale. The office in question handles the compliance for the company's UK, European, African and Eurasian divisions, meaning work for the compliance engineer will never be slow or boring. Due to ever changing legislation there is every chance that this 6 month deal for the compliance engineer could be extended and even permanent roles offered.
