A healthcare provider in the San Bernardino area is now recruiting for an IT Project Manager.

Job Summary:
  • The Technical IT Project Manager works under the leadership of the Application Service Leader-Technical and is responsible for delivering service excellence utilizing people, processes, and technology in an Integrated Delivery System (IDS).
  • The Project Manager will provide consultative support to the Project Director and Project Service Leaders.
  • The role of the Project Manager is to initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects according to the established Project Management Methodology to ensure project meets or exceeds timeline, budget and quality expectations.
  • This includes requesting resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  • The Project Manager will work with Project Directors to define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Interacts regularly with project leadership and Information Services senior management.
  • Utilizes leadership skills, sound judgment, and discretion to positively impact project teams and overall project success.


Job Specifications:
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and documentation skills, and ability to plan and organize technical and analytical work.
  • Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills; able to communicate effectively and clearly in English, in writing and verbally.
  • Knowledge of project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Knowledge of healthcare software or systems required.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Minimum four years relevant experience accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum ten years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project delivery.
  • Minimum eight years direct work experience in a project management capacity would be required if a Master's degree is possessed.
  • Healthcare experience required, including knowledge and understanding of technical and integration processes and workflow.
  • Certification in Project Management, such as Preferred Project Management Institute (PMP or CAPM), International Institute for Learning (APMC), or American Academy of Project Management preferred.
  • LLEAP/Epic training and certification preferred and may be required within one year of employment.
