Description
We have an urgent requirement for an experienced VMware/Server Support Engineer for a customer in the Dublin area. This is a contract position with a based in a prime location, initially this is for a 12 month period however we do envision that this will extend.
We are looking for:

Active Directory 2008 R2 (including Wins, DNS, DHCP)

VMWARE Or Microsoft Certification

VMware (ESXi 5.0, 5.5), SRM

Dell Servers (tower, rack & VRTX models), Open Manage, IT Assistant

The role: You shall be part of an existing server support team which is tasked with managing our customers Windows Server Infrastructure. The farm consists of 1,600 Servers, the majority of which are running as virtual Servers over 100 hosts running VMware ESXi 5.0 on DELL PowerEdge. 1,000 of the Servers are built with Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Operating System. You shall be working closely with the Storage & IP Networks teams. New Servers are requested from the Projects Group and are ordered, built, commissioned, monitored, upgraded & secured as required during their lifetime by the Server Support team
