Sitting on their distributed cache technology project the successful applicant will have strong experience of developing cutting edges applications. You will have expert financial markets Java knowledge and be comfortable dealing with the business at the highest most complex level.
The bank in question requires the services of a Java developer who has strong knowledge around the development of solutions within Enterprise Data.
The position involves working closely with the business, key stakeholders, Data Service Delivery Managers, and Enterprise Data Delivery and Support Teams to identify, deliver, and implement solutions.
It's important that all applicants can understand business requirements and be able to transform them into technical design with minimal impact to existing data model.
Responsibilities include
- Development of Java code to support existing code base.
- Release builds and be able to troubleshoot with release build scripts.
- Must be able to support multiple dev/test/prod environments based on release schedules.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and work towards that automation.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in a financial institution or financial systems working with Datamodelling and formats
- Server Side Java and solid understanding a Java concepts/practices
- Good understanding Linux Shell Scripting
- Work independently on identified automation opportunities
- Generally clued in/able to succinctly describe ideas/design patterns/architectures
- Basic Design/prototyping skills
- Technical Documentation skills
- Must have strong analytical/problem solving skills to break down complex business problems into simpler components
- It would be a strong plus to have finance background
- Experience in working in Agile teams will be a strong plus
- Able to multi task efficiently.
