Manufacturing Support Team Engineer/Floor Walker
Job Purpose
Provide first level of IT support for Plant Floor Applications
Liaise with Manufacturing and Maintenance teams for smooth running of the plant
Act as liaison between IT support teams and customers across all business areas including manufacturing, MPL, AME and CME.
Logon to the applications, check log files, handle monitoring tools etc.
Key responsibilities
To provide functional knowledge of manufacturing systems in support of change and development activities.
First point of contact for the user touch-services and failure reported of any standard & non-standard devices.
Responsible for 1st level application support for manufacturing application, before incidents are escalated to Application team.
Replaces faulty hardware both standard and non-standard. Handles day to day issues with nonstandard devices like barcode scanners and other handheld devices like touch monitors (only swap and replacement not break-fix).
Key Skills & Experience required
Experience of working and supporting IT systems in a manufacturing environment is desirable
Manufacturing and Automotive Industry Knowledge
Basic PC, Windows and Networking Skills
Hands on experience on network monitoring tool like HPOV
Basic knowledge of Windows Server
Basic Linux/Unix/VMS commands
Should be able to check the server health monitoring
Basic software applications knowledge
Should be able to logon to the applications, check log files, handle monitoring tools etc.
Ability to work in shifts (12.4 shift pattern) including weekends
