Senior Java Developer - 6 month contract
My City Centre Client is looking for a senior Java developer to work on one of their existing projects. This is an initial 6 month contract with the strong potential for an extension.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in product definition, integration, design, and development activities as directed
- The Java Engineer must have extensive experience in Spring dependency injection, hibernate, Web Services, Application Server product sand knowledge of database technologies.
Characteristics:

- Flexible nature willing to work on different capabilities and learn new technologies

- Communicative, able to articulate status and issues
Qualifications:
- 5+ years IT experience with a product focus
- B.S. or M.S. in CS/Engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience with Java/J2EE and Java frameworks, including Spring dependency injection and Hibernate
- Experience in Web Services and related technologies
- Extensive experience using eclipse, Maven, SVN, Jira
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle or SQL Server
