WE are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a client based in Milton Keynes on a 6 Month initial contract

Daily Rate: Dependant on experience - £350-£450
Duration: 6 Months
Start: ASAP
Location: Milton Keynes
Minimum Clearance level: SC Clearance

Our client requires a highly motivated, self-sufficient Senior Project Manager to work within their Security Property Group (SPG) to deliver under tight timescales.

You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of customer projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to the agreed scope quality standards, across the organisations wide range of Estates and Security services. You may also be required to assist with and lead the production of bids for new work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing Financial and Commercial Performance
  • Representing the Company as the Senior Project Manager at regular project governance meetings. Negotiation with the customer's representatives over project issues which may result in delay, change or cancellation of all or part of the project.
  • Presenting highlight reports to Project Boards and other project governance bodies, preparing checkpoint reports and holding regular checkpoint meetings.
  • Liaison with Key Stakeholders and customers ensuring appropriate levels of communication are maintained within the scope of the project.
  • Ensuring that the project is delivered to agreed standards for quality and time using the appropriate management methodology.
  • Management of work-package allocation ensuring that Company resources are used in an appropriate, effective and cost efficient manner.
Essential Skills

Technical Background:
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or Equivalent Project Management qualifications.
  • Qualified to HNC/HND level in relevant subject.
  • Have minimum 5-years' experience of deploying medium complexity Estates and security projects in a secure environment.
  • Membership of one of the following: RIBA, RICS, ICE, IStruct E, CIBSE
  • At least 5 years' experience in managing major construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in using NEC3, GC works, and FIDIC contracts and documentation in procuring construction
  • In-depth understanding of current Legislative and Regulatory framework
  • Demonstrable ability in construction procurement and contract administration
Desirable
  • Strong commercial business skills in a managed service environment.
  • Organisational change experience.
  • Accreditation in the Management of Risk (MoR) and its application in a project management environment.
  • Accreditation in MSP.
  • Knowledge of analysis techniques, business and/or systems, and its application in a project environment.
  • Have project management accreditation with APM
