ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define departmental test vision and strategy and obtain leadership concurrence
Implement strategic testing framework within department
Executing and updating test cases via automation tools and/or programming
Storing and developing repository of the developed scripts for regression testing
Reporting detailed test results of scripts completion, failure, etc.
Designs and develops test cases
Analyzes complex testing procedures and recommends actions to improve reduction in manual testing effort process
Contributes to the development of test strategies and may be requested to create scripts for requirements test cases, adhoc (negative) test cases, performance timing test cases, and user test cases
Implementing automation testing tools to gain further efficiencies
Participates in technical design and walk through with development team
May be requested to assist writing of test plans, test cases, and scripts to support specific testing objectives
Ensures any unresolved problems or issues with testing efforts are documented and escalated
Analysis and prioritization of defects
Provides status and progress reports by project
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Control and Testing working in automated environments
Hands-on experience with design, development, and implementation of testing procedures; creation of test plans, test cases, and automated test results to support testing objectives
Experience with implementation of quality assurance and testing methodologies, processes, standards, and tools
3 years' experience with a variety of technologies within continuous availability solutions: networking, storage, database, and/or applications.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Developing test scripts in working with developers, test team members, and business Subject Matter Experts
Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently
Must be able to adjust schedules to accommodate changing priorities
Commitment to a mindset of quality and continuous improvement
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience in UNIX type environments along with some SQL based queries would be a plus
Previous work experience at various technology levels such as networking, storage, database, applications
In depth knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies and how they relate to different methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall and how testing is conducted within each phase of development
Experience with Quality Center
Experience working in IT Systems related to HealthCare Industry
