Infrastructure Tester - European Commission - Brussels
For one of our projects at the European Institutions in Brussels, we are urgently looking for a tester.
Role:
The services to be provided by the Infrastructure Tester are in the context of financial and logistic information systems (ABAC Assets, Syslog Crédits) as well as e-Procurement (e-Request, e-Ordering, e-Fulfilment ...) projects.
They consist mainly in elaboration of test cases, construction of test scenarios and scripts, implementation, logging, analysis and reporting of test runs.
Main tasks:
- Perform and coordinate manual and automatic testing activities
- Management of quality tests
- Definition of test strategy, test plans and templates
- Definition of test cases and implementation of test scenarios and scripts
- Reporting of test results
- Integration of applications with other systems
- Functional requirements and business case analysis
- Coordination between development and user communities
- Provide the necessary user information as part of the deployment and running-in phases
- Responsible for managing the testing information sites
- Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with information systems
- Promote best practices for using financial projects.
For this role you need to have experience in:
- The Infrastructure Tester should have minimum 5 years' recent experience in using testing methodologies or similar. Experience as test manager, analyst and developer will be an asset.
- Pro-active, motivated, pragmatic and diplomatic behaviour is required in order to help with the continuous improvement of the applications.
- Good knowledge of software development processes and release management. Good knowledge of QTM or other testing tools.
- Very good working knowledge in at least two of the following technical areas: ORACLE PL/SQL, Power Builder, JAVA/J2EE, Cold Fusion, SOAP UI.
The next are considered assets:
- Knowledge of XML, RUP, and UML will be an asset.
Languages:
Fluent in English and French is an asset
Others:
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural team environment.
