Web Application Developer
As a Web Developer you will be focused on managing the interchange of data between the application and the browser. This developer focuses on the server-side of programming for the web, yet also understands the programming languages which control the display of content in the browser. The position is a Full Time Contractor for 2-3 months with an opportunity to become permanent.
Primary Responsibilities
As a web application developer your time will be will be spent in the following ways:
90% Application Development
- Custom web application development around PHP and mySQL
- API integration (Google APIs, SalesForce, Stripe, HubSpot, Marketo, etc..)
- Refactoring and securing of plugins or custom code
- Complying with latest security standards
- Optimizing for user experience & page load speed
- Resolving technical issues for team & clients
10% Client & Team Management
- Communicating with the team and presenting progress
Desired Skills and Experience
- Mid-level programmer, focusing on PHP and mySQL with a minimum of 3 years experience. (Open to less experience if you can provide strong samples and references).
- Experience with Wordpress highly preferred.
- Excellent Project management, organizationals and time management skills.
- Telecommute position option, but would be required to pop into our office bi-weekly for status updates and planning (if candidate is local).
- Ability to self-manage tasks and deadlines is a MUST.
- Bonus for knowledge of AGILE.
Compensation
Hourly rate is between $40-60/hr based on experience, passion and confidence.
