Embedded Software Engineer, Video CodecOur client is looking for a talented design engineer to be a member of my world famous client's multimedia team. This rapidly expanding company focusses on some of the most popular high tech multimedia technologies on the market, specialising in semiconductor technologies, consumer electronics and multimedia applications.
This position will provide you with the opportunity to work within a small but dynamic team responsible for developing low-level embedded video driver software for next generation video hardware, which will be incorporated into new high tech consumer gadgets.
Required Skills Include:
-Expertise within C programming
-Timely problem solving skills
-The ability to work to deadlines and communicate complex ideas
-To promote a strong level of organisation, conveying a positive, productive attitude
-Familiarity with system architecture and embedded real time problem solving
-1 to 3 years of experience
Desirable skills include:
-A track record of working with kernel mode Linux device drivers
-Experience with multi-threaded programming
-A familiarity with video compression standards, to include: H.264/AVC, VP8, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VC-1
Qualifications:
BSc/MSc in computer science or related discipline, Minimum grade: 2:1
