A new exciting opportunity has arisen within the future product engineering group for an experienced Software Engineers. We envisage that this role will be / lead onto a management role including line management of a small team with early stage management of development projects. The role will be very much "hands on" as part of a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary and dynamic team and will be crucial to bringing our current ideas through to prototype and finally production.Both roles will be given responsibility for software specification, design and implementation and will develop and improve the capability and functionality of the software by responding to customer's requirements. These are highly specialist roles working in collaboration with universities and industry partners. Essential skills:
Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline.
Sufficient relevant experience in design and implementation of embedded software.
Solid understanding of software design and integration, ideally in the field of image processing using laser, camera, microwave data or similar.
Able to write high quality robust code in a clear structured manner.
C++ for embedded applications
Embedded PC software development
Algorithm development
The ability to write clear functional specifications for your work.
Keen and enthusiastic to work with cutting edge technologies whilst possessing excellent communication skills and team work capabilities.
