This role will work with the Infrastructure Manager and the building refurbishment Project Management to ensure the smooth implementation / transition of the new and existing infrastructure to the new office environment. In addition the role will work closely with on-site deskside engineering to help support users during the transition period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the successful implementation of the new office from an IT perspective, ensuring delivery is aligned with agreed designs
  • Perform facility surveys for network communications and engineer the layout and location of network components, equipment, cabling, and wiring
  • Design high performance wired and wireless converged network that supports voice and data services incorporating multiple vendors
  • Install and configure network hardware and software infrastructure components according to best practices, including routers, switches, wifi controllers and firewalls
  • Lead the migration of the existing office staff to the new network
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues and liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution


Skills Required;
  • Likely to have a degree in engineering, information systems, computer science or related subject (Advanced degree desirable)
  • Professional qualifications and industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Voice (mandatory), VMWare VCP, Microsoft MCSE, CISSP would be advantageous
  • Expert knowledge of networking industry standards covering WAN/LAN, voice (VoIP/SIP), data, cabling (Fibre/Copper) deployment, TCP/IP protocols, IPSEC VPN
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Cisco switches, Routers, firewalls and Cisco Call Manager preferably within availability deployments
  • Good knowledge of Windows Servers infrastructure ) networking within high-availability deployments including SMTP, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of VMware ESX/vSphere
  • 5+ years of technology experience in a regulated industry. Financial Services Industry a plus
  • 5+ years of troubleshooting experience, individually or via a managed team
  • Proven track record in working with 3rd party vendors and consultants in the delivery of large programs of work
