Senior Business Support Manager - Northampton £ per day - 10 months

Cost Management
Overall cost management and tracking for the Risk Cluster/Shared Service, including the tracking of costs against budgets, implementing cost reduction initiatives and approvals procedures, and resolving any identified cost issues
*Interfacing with Cluster/Shared Service-specific finance teams to identify and resolve cost issues

*Tracking and monitoring local Risk cost base for the Cluster CRO/Shared Service Head, including:
- Budget uploads in line with function-wide requirements and owning and maintaining cost centres
- Ongoing oversight and control of local Risk costs in line with agreed budget
*Support the delivery of the local Risk cost base within budget, including the development of local cost procedures and standards
* Monitor expense approval procedures and standards, in line with Risk function policies and standards, as well as local Cluster-specific requirements
*Support the delivery of specific cost challenges set by the overall Risk function
* Closely track key change initiatives, ensuring that benefits are fully realised and delivered within agreed timelines
* Support management interactions with business and other Shared Services on cost allocations

Headcount Management
Support overall headcount management for the Risk Cluster/Shared Service, including the tracking and allocation of headcount, management of the recruitment pipeline, and implementation of hiring approval processes
*Track and regularly monitor the headcount levels for Barclaycard including central allocations

*Track and monitor agreed hiring caps, which includes:
(i) Maintaining hiring pipeline and ensuring offers are made within agreed Risk caps including for 3rd party vendors
(ii) Tracking resourcing needs
(iii) By exception, escalating to Global COO/BM teams where unforeseen demands arise
*Support approval of all local hires, in line with Risk function policies and standards
*Oversee the allocation of headcount and internal transfers to/from the local Cluster/Shared Service
*Own the tracking of the local contractor population

Functional Processes and Controls
Support the overall administration of people, resources, and infrastructure to ensure the successful day-to-day running of the Risk Cluster/Shared Service
*Support management of agreed controls for key processes
*Support the setting of standards and procedures for onboarding new joiners, and the exit process for leavers and help address and manage the resolution of any issues arising
*Support the oversight of key third party relationships including suppliers, service providers, and other local stakeholders where required (governance, controls costs)
*Support Service Management for the EXL Managed Service for headcount, budget, billing and operations
*Creation of new processes to support Credit Risk Business Support where none exist today and documentation of existing processes

Other:
Provide ad hoc COO support to COO, Cluster, and Shared Services Leadership, and functional teams, as required which may include:
* Providing oversight and PMO for local COO projects
