Description
Configuration Engineer required to ensure the Configuration Management processes and procedures are deployed and followed using Product Data Management (PTC Windchill) and that baseline artefacts are configured, managed and released in line with internal and customer requirements and expectations.
Responsibility for configuration identification and management of design and product data in accordance with company procedures for safety related artefacts including:
Working with design leads to identify and configure safety related artefacts to provide traceability between DOORs and PDM.
Supporting design leads and assisting in the uplift of safety and design artefacts.
Owning the document review and release process to achieve delivery dates.
Configuring artefacts for the System Modular Safety Case.
Supporting the Safety Programme Manager in achieving schedule dates.
These responsibilities require effective, efficient and accurate operation of related business processes, practices and procedures.
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
PDM tool experience.
Experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing organisation in a configuration role.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and orally, with a broad range of people.
Able to work overtime as necessary to accommodate programme deliverables
Desirable.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
