Have you ever been frustrated while looking for a campsite online? Hard to remember your favorite camping spots and even harder to share them with your friends? The Dyrt is going to change all of that with a responsive web based application of user generated photos, videos and reviews of great campsites from a ground level view.
The Dyrt is seeking a freelance UI/UX Designer to lead the existing site (thedyrt.com) through the next stage of development. We are looking for a hard working, motivated, deadline driven contractor to take a batch a stories and interviews to wireframes and prototyping. Applicants should have multiple years of experience with interaction and mobile design. Understanding of the concepts of progressive enhancement, mobile first and future friendly design is also highly encouraged.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
- is passionate about the outdoors and has personally struggled with finding a campsite on-line.
- understands how web and mobile can be coupled with outstanding design to impact people’s lives in a positive way.
- has been involved in the design and/or innovation of the UI of a product of any type.
- has experience developing design concepts for the responsive web and any combination of iOS, Android or Windows Phone.
- has experience in interaction and experience design. From user interviews to wireframes and prototyping.
- has a desire to think strategically beyond the brief and consider the market, the product and the business to ensure the team is heading in the right direction.
- has experience developing meaningful diagrams/wireframes
- preferably has skills in HTML & CSS
