Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Pro-E/Creo

Contract length: 18 months+

Location: Desford

A mechanical design engineer is required to work for leading heavy off road vehicle design and Development Company. This is a long term contract opportunity based on site at Desford; your initial contract will be 18 months long with the opportunity for multiple extensions. You will be working within a Design team tasked with the development of new attachments for compact wheel loaders. This will involve concept to design through to full production design. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production release of the parts and will be expected to work with 3rd party suppliers to ensure the parts can be manufactured and meet the cost and quality targets.

Our client will expect you to show high levels of initiative to solve engineering problems and be able to deliver to tight deadlines. The ability to communicate internally and externally with third party organisations is key to this role.

Key skills:

* Computer literate with Creo (Pro-E) CAD engineering skills.
* Engineering/Science Degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience in designing structural fabrications & components.
* Experience of off highway equipment or other heavy machinery is desirable, and preferably experience with attachments/worktools.
