Description

A qualified candidate will take initiative in verifying and auditing the contents of the Atrium CMDB and Remedy System and the excel based worksheets used to update the CMDB. Work with other teams to administer data consistency, remediate data issues and coordinate validation activities. Be expected to collaborate with individuals in Information Technology Services and technologists in all the business technology divisions.

Core team Responsibilities:
  • Administer process and policy standards for administering the data leveraged by BMC Atrium CMDB
  • Monitor integrations from other data sources, handle communications with other teams in the event of a failure
  • Coordinate with the application development team when issues arise
  • Reconcile and validate data streams
  • Work with the asset management teams to validate CIs
  • Work with reporting team to develop necessary reporting
  • Perform audits and verification activities against the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Performs regular housekeeping on Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ie: Update Infrastructure and Application configuration item information in Remedy's Atrium CMDB
SKILLS:

Desired technical qualifications:
  • Strong Communication skills
  • SQL, Excel - 2-3 years writing SQL queries and knowing how to debug/troubleshoot existing queries
  • 1-3 years of experience in one or more industry standard CMDBs, BMC Atrium, CA CMDB, IBM CCMDB, HP UCMDB, Service Now - Has applied updates to any vendors asset management system and understands relationship between assets
  • 2-3 years Experience in Crystal or Business Objects report writing
  • Capacity to quickly learn and implement new technologies and commence project driven work with minimal guidance.

Desired non-technical qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Excellent collaboration, and customer service skills
  • Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills
