Finance Manager - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Rate

A Leading Energy and Utility client of Hyphen is looking for a Business Support Finance Manager to join their Centre of Excellence in Warwick.

Job Purpose:-

Liaise with a team of accountants and/or analysts to compile accurate, timely & insightful Executive reports for senior finance and business leaders. Ensure appropriate financial control with a particular emphasis on timely, accurate, complete reporting and appropriate business planning, budgeting and forecasting. Oversee monthly financial reporting and inputs to the month-end accounting process

Key Tasks:-

Responsible for the co-ordination and timely production of a suite of high profile performance reports for the clients executives/senior management (UK FD & Senior business leaders)

Provide financial analysis and evaluation (including building robust budgets and forecasts) on behalf of business managers, business partners and finance teams, acting as a business partner as required. Deal with the most complex ad-hoc requests, escalated issues and non-standard analysis in order to contribute to the delivery of business unit objectives.

Responsible for month end accounting inputs and outputs for the business unit, ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy of all data, and that accounting entries are appropriately classified in accordance with internal policy.

Lead the compilation and review of financial performance reports, including Flash reports, the 'blue book' monthly reports, RRP reports and reports for Investor Relations, ensuring reporting is relevant, timely and accurate. Provide insightful commentaries which adequately explain any variances in the data.

Support the relevant Business Support Finance Manager in engaging with the wider business to establish, maintain and monitor the financial control framework, ensuring adherence to key internal and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Provide robust financial risk management for the business unit(s) by identifying, leading, and coordinating the quantification of risks and opportunities whilst maintaining the finance risk register.

Provide financial support to the business, ensuring the Finance Business Support team delivers a high quality and robust financial service to the business.

Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through the implementation of best practice, drawing on external sources and internal references in order to drive increased value for the client.
