Senior Finance Modelling Analyst - Mortgages & Unsecured Loans.
Based in Manchester an excellent opportunity exists on a contract basis for a Senior Finance Modelling Analyst.
You will be working on a highly pressured, complex, urgent and demanding programme of multiple inter-dependent,regulatory redress and commercially critical projects.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Develop and deliver high quality financial redress calculators for use in an operationalised environment.
- Lead the quality assurance of financial redress calculator design, build and utilisation; promptly identifying and fixing any inaccuracies or issues.
- Lead and provide expert input into financial modelling relating to a wide variety of complex customer scenarios within both secured and unsecured lending portfolios.
Skills and experience required:
- Industry expert level knowledge and experience of financial modelling and calculator design.
- Expert level knowledge of the financial workings and regulation of both secured and unsecured lending products.
- Experienced in the development and application of financial modelling and calculators within a UK regulated financial services business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working in a fast moving environment requiring decisions to be made under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate, understand and undertake robust critical analysis of large volumes of complex numerical data and business information.
- Ability to prioritise a complex and varied workload, meeting competing demands within tight timeframes.
Initially a 6 month contract however the project is likely to last 12-18 months.
