EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY:
This is an exciting opportunity for a SC Cleared Service Manager, to join one of Steria's critical government clients. This contract role is until the end of November 2014 based in Hemel Hempstead.
To act as a Service Manager, providing oversight to teams and working within the current Senior Management group for this specific government client. The role will be asked to take on a variety of initiatives and tasks to maintain the BAU service. The role will be working closely with the Head of Service Operations and Service Management as well as the Head of Service Transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Service Transition Executive this role will have responsibility for protecting the integrity of the production services by ensuring all service change is successfully brought into the production service environment and can be effectively managed.
The Service Transition Organisation is responsible for the delivery of transition planning, Acceptance into Service (AIS), Asset & Configuration Management, Release & Deployment, Change Management, Knowledge Management and Testing & Validation. This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of these activities and the appropriate escalation of any issues associated with the delivery of them. It will be responsible for several service improvement initiatives.
The role is a senior interface with the Client's Service Delivery functions, acting as an escalation point for the management of issues associated with service change.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
Prior experience in the successful transition of services in a complex enterprise environment with major programmes running in parallel
Qualified in ITIL version 2 to Manager level (preferably version 3 to Expert level), Service Transition practitioner
Team management up to 20 heads
Strong client relationships at a senior level
Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering Transition processes including AIS, Configuration, Knowledge, Change and Release Management, Test & Validation
Thorough understanding of testing models, methodologies, strategy and processes
Experience of operating at senior management level within both a customer and other supplier's organisations
Client focused to achieve the outcome for the client whilst protecting Steria's best interests
Confidence and gravitas to work with and influence a variety of senior stakeholders across the account and within the customer's organisation-
Due to the nature of the Client and work, we do require SC cleared candidates, who have used their SC clearance within the last 6 months.
