This person will be responsible for overseeing gage calibration, assisting in the development of inspection methods, overseeing critical inspection and test methods and making recommendations for the design and/or procurement of improved measurement devices.

The Sr. QA Engineer will frequently work directly with customers, troubleshooting, suggesting improvements, and implementing practices to correct internal and external problems.

This position will also require production validation and will include performing systematic audits of production activities and regularly includes interaction with production supervisors, operators and inspectors.

The Sr. QA Engineer will have to perform statistical evaluations of data and prepare and present reports that display data that will lead to better decision making.

It is a cross-functional role amongst various teams of the organization and requires complex metrological comprehension. The Sr. QA Engineer will need to be able to balance multiple projects while performing daily functions to determine priority of activities.
Candidate Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering; emphasis in Quality preferred
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with Quality emphasis
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts
  • Experience with Gage Calibration
  • Competency in Autocad, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Word. Metrology and Gage design
  • A working knowledge of statistics and practical application
  • Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and troubleshoot problems

Preferred Requirements:
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Certified Quality Engineer Certification (ASQ)
