I'm currently recruiting for a Medical Education Materials Manager for a leading Medical Device Company. Ideally the successful candidate would have a Medical Education or Sports medical background; however they are willing to consider people with strong project management skills with an interest in Sports Medicine for this position.
The Medical Education Manager will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering global medical education courses held in Europe for international attendance. The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining an 18 month rolling calendar of events in the Sports Medicine franchise, according to the company strategy.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Deliver the European Medical Education programme for Sports Medicine in order to support company strategy
  • Develop strong relationships with Medical Education key stakeholders within Europe
  • Identify and work with surgeon faculty on the development of course content
  • Plan and manage the budget for the programme of events
  • Work within the company's compliance policies and procedures, including attaining necessary approval through the SWAT tool
  • Measure the outcome of Medical Education activities and develop/implement best practices for delegate selection, pre and post evaluation of the courses
  • In addition to the above, the candidate will be required to carry out any reasonable request to perform other duties, including working with other members of the Surgical Skills Centre team for hands-on lab support for courses

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Sports Medicine/Endoscopy desirable.
* High level competency in project management is essential
* Proven experience in an educational function would be beneficial
* Good understanding of healthcare system and key stakeholders is necessary
* Experience of working with HCPs would be highly beneficial
* Problem solving, sound influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills are required
* You must possess a pro-active and positive approach to teamwork with a flexible
attitude, adaptable to change to both internal and external customer needs
* You must be able to work flexible hours, with some early starts and late finishes,
and also able to travel occasionally for the role
